The Most Celebrated Texan Event Is Back! Do Not Miss the Mimir Chamber Music Festival
Celebrating its 22nd season, Mimir Chamber Music Festival has become of the most celebrated annual music events and teaching festivals in Texas and the Southwest. The festival features five Mimir artists concerts and two emerging artists concerts. Since its launch in 1998, the annual festival has enjoyed a growing audience of fans from throughout the Southwest.
This year's Mimir artists include a familiar cast of Grammy Award nominated recording artists, members of Nashville Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Houston Symphony, The Cleveland Orchestra and faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music, University of Melbourne Conservatory of Music and Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
Mimir has presented over 100 exceptional concerts by their renowned Mimir Artists, and they have mentored some 250 talented young Emerging Artists. The addition of a week-long festival in Australia in 2013 further enhances Mimir’s international reputation as a leading venue for chamber music performance and instruction.
Named for the Norse god of wisdom, the Festival features outstanding musicians from the world’s leading orchestras, music schools and concert halls. This season, they will present five Mimir Artists concerts and two Emerging Artists concerts. All performances are at TCU’s PepsiCo Recital Hall, except the Sunday matinee performance at Renzo Piano Pavilion. We’ll see you there!
