The Phantom of the Opera Returns to Fort Worth for Yet Another Stunning Rendition
Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera makes its triumphant return to Fort Worth as part of its North American Tour.
The Phantom of the Opera follows a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. Sheltered from the outside world in an underground cavern, the lonely, romantic man tutors and composes operas for Christine, a gorgeous young soprano star-to-be. As Christine’s star rises, and a handsome suitor from her past enters the picture, the Phantom grows mad, terrorizing the opera house owners and company with his murderous ways. Still, Christine finds herself drawn to the mystery man.
Hailed by critics as “bigger and better than ever before,” this production boasts many exciting special effects including the show’s legendary chandelier, new scenic and lighting designs, new staging and choreography. The beloved story and thrilling score will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this Phantom rendition one of the largest productions now on tour.
Bass Performance Hall, permanent home to major performing arts organizations of Fort Worth, will serve as a venue for the touring production. We encourage you to come see The Phantom of the Opera while you can. Tickets start at $94 and are available online at www.basshall.com.
